As when working with gouache, it is necessary to rely on well-known rules, however, the acrylic palette often contains paints with metallic color impurities, which give the finished shade a metallic or pearlescent sheen. The true color of a gold bar will be achieved by using paint with this coating.

The color palette of the initial materials will be the same as when using gouache, that is, yellow, orange, red and brown shades. “Metallic” - acrylic is best used in the colors of white mother-of-pearl mixed with yellow. You can try replacing the mother-of-pearl with silver paint, but the finished gold paint may turn out a little dirty.

Golden color oil painting

RGBA color model

You can set a color in RGBA format in much the same way as in RGB. The difference between RGBA and RGB is the presence of an alpha channel, which is responsible for the transparency of the color.

Transparency is set using a number ranging from 0 to 1, where 0 is fully transparent and 1 is completely opaque. Intermediate values ​​like 0.5 allow you to set a translucent appearance (shorthand notation is allowed, without a zero, but with a dot – .5).

For example, to make the text colored and slightly transparent, you need to write the rgba keyword and the color value after the color property:

The disadvantage of RGBA is that it is not supported by Internet Explorer version 8 and earlier. Especially for IE8, you can apply the following solution:
